The Director left Capcom earlier this year after more than 30 years with the Studio

Legendary Game Director Hideaki Itsuno was announced as the head of brand new Japanese studio: Lightspeed, in a statement released on the companies website earlier today. The new studio's President Jerry Chen said: " It is our great honour to have Hideaki Itsuno join Lightspeed... The establishment of Lightspeed Japan Studio is a significant step in LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS' expansion and demonstrates our commitment to bringing the best possible game to our players"

Itsuno himself also added: " joining LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS is an exciting new chapter for me. With Lightspeed's strong development capability and global network, I look forward to creating original AAA action titles together with the amazing team".

The Director stated that he looked forward to creating games in a new environment following his departure from Capcom and it seems like he has found his new home to do just that.
