Ryosuke Yoshida took to X to reveal the news while thanking his team

Former Vision of Mana Director Ryosuke Yoshida announces he will be leaving NetEase-owned Ouka Studios to take up a role at Square Enix.

While the later published Vision of Mana it was directed by Ouka who are owned by NetEase, however, the Director and former Combat Engineer on Devil May Cry 5 took to twitter to announce he will be making the move to Square Enix in an as yet undisclosed role.

Yoshida post on X stating he was: "grateful to the development team and NetEase for their support" while adding that it was a "very good experience" before revealing that he has joined Square Enix and "will do my best to make a game that many people can enjoy".

While no comment was made on the position he has assumed at Square, the wording of the tweet suggests it will be in some form of leadership capacity, working on a new title.

Yoshida's last title, Visions of Mana was reasonably well received, currently sitting at 75 on Metacritic, so fans will no doubt be excited to see what he has in store in his new role at one of gaming's biggest studios.
