Techland announce brand new standalone adventure based in the Dying Light Universe at Gamecom Opening night live.
The brand new 18 hour adventure titled: "The Beast", sees the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the first title, who appears to be able to turn into a massive monster after being experimented on in the aftermath of the 1st game. The game started out as DLC before growing in size to the point the studio thought it would be better served as a stand alone title.
Fans will also be delighted to hear that Techland have also announced the brand new title will be free to owners of the Dying Light 2: Ultimate edition. A great gesture by the studio give that this production was likely planned to be part of any DLC included in said edition of the game. According to the Steam listing the game will take place in a brand new "tightly-crafted rural region" which suggests the title will be much more linear compared to prior entries.
