Switch 1 titles that have been given Switch 2 upgrades UK price revealed

£67 price point revealed as pre-orders roll out across the UK

Switch 2 editions of titles such as: Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby: The Forgotten Lands will al cost £66.99 upon the console's release.

The prices were revealed as UK wide pre-orders began rolling out today, the US price of $80 translates to £63, so it is just a little more expensive than a direct currency comparison. Owners of Switch 1 editions of these titles will also have the opportunity to "upgrade" them, but the price is yet to be revealed by Nintendo. It has however, been confirmed that Switch Online users will be entitled to upgrades for both Zelda titles for free, should they own the originals.

UK pre-orders began rolling out today with stores like Argos, Currys and Smyths offering pre-orders in store, a step GAME has chosen to skip this year, as their pre-orders appear to be online only. The release of pre-orders have also given us a more in-depth look at how Nintendo's "variable pricing" system will look, as prices for titles are now available online. Games like Mario Kart World are shipping at £75 for a physical copy, while Donkey Kong Bananza will only cost £65.

Switch 2 is slated for a June 5th release date.
