The Platform fighter’ servers will be taken offline at the end of season 5
WB Games’ Multiversus took to X to confirm that the game will be taken offline on May 30th this year. Online support for the game will be shutdown with the end of season 5 despite the game only being fully released for just under a year.
The title initially released as an open beta on all platforms in August 2022, which finally came to an end in June 2023 in preparation for the full release which eventually game in March 2024.
The beta released to massive fanfare, garnering over 150k players during its all time peak as well as having a host of classic WB characters to tap in to throughout each season.
This buzz on release hasn’t been sustainable with the game now sitting at around 650 players daily on steam. This drop off appears to have been enough for WB games to pull the plug on the title while emphasising that players will be able to continue “enjoying the game offline for the foreseeable future”.
