Elden Ring Nightreign reveals post launch plans as it hits 3.5 million players

The milestone has been hit less than a week after release

Elden Ring took to X to announce Nightreign has reached a staggering 3.5 million players less than a week after its release before warning that "the night is far from over".

The game debuted to mix reviews on steam before climbing back into mostly positive territory as the player base has grown and FromSoft has tweaked the game with a couple of patches. The title is largely designed to be three player however which left solo and duo players feeling left out.

However, in this celebratory tweet, Elden Ring revealed that Duo expeditions will come at a "later date" along with other new additions which will be "gradually implemented" which includes enhanced fights against existing nightlords. This comes fresh off of a patch which aimed to make the experience a little more forgiving on solo players, adding auto revives and an increase in runes gained.

If a later date is too long to wait, a mod has already been created by fans to let you run duos with your mate right now.
