Sony's next PlayStation "showcase" due to take place sometime next month

Jeff Grubb of Giantbomb revealed that he expects it will be in June

Sony's next games showcase is due to take place sometime in June, according to tweet by Jeff Grubb. The Giant Bomb Journalist also admitted that this is "all he can confirm".

Further down the post, Grubb emphasised that Sony have yet to decide on whether this will be a "State of Play or a big boy showcase", but he himself is leaning towards it being the later.

Sony have yet to reveal any details about the showcase, be that the date or the titles we will get a glimpse of but given the relatively busy end to 2025 and start of next year, it is easy to speculate.

Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2 is due to release the same month as the showcase, Ghosts of Yotei is coming a little later in the year in October on the exclusive front. However, huge cross platform titles like Borderlands 4, Mafia: The Old Country and the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake are similarly out later this year and may well make an appearance.

Which of these games could show up remains to be seen, but with the reported date coming in just a month, Sony can be expected to make an announcement soon.
