Silent Hill 2 remake won't be available on Xbox until a year after its release

Newest trailer reveals title will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive before coming to "other formats"

Bloober Team reveal that their upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2 will be a PS5 console exclusive at the end of their most recent "immersion trailer". The game is due to release on PlayStation and PC on the 8th of October this year, with it coming to "other formats" which likely includes Xbox and any Switch ports on the 10th of October 2025.

The trailer also revealed a host of other features that will be exclusive to PlayStation including Adaptive Triggers when shooting, 3-D audio on headsets to help with immersion and a Dynamic Lightbar that changes based on your health state.

Recent previews for the game have been mostly positive which is sure to make this news even harder to take for Xbox players.
