Marvel Snap service has resumed in the US after the game was shut down over the weekend as a direct result of the Tik Tok ban in the States. This mishap occurred due to the acclaimed card games publisher Nuverse being owned by ByteDance who also happens to own Tik Tok.
While explicit details haven't been revealed as to why the Tik Tok ban caused Snap to go down, developers Second Dinner admitted the outage was a "surprise to us and wasn't planned". They then revealed that they have begun their search for a new publisher just a couple of days later, once service resumed. The Developer suggested this was to ensure something like this "NEVER happens again" while also acknowledging that their vagueness "leaves more questions than answers".
A few issues have still to be ironed out, with the game still unavailable on some app stores in the US, which Second Dinner confirmed it was looking into even though it "may take some time" while assuring players that anyone effected will be compensated for any objectives or events they may have missed during the outage.
