Sports interactive's manager sim was scheduled to release in November this year
Sports Interactive and Sega took to X (twitter) yesterday to announce that the newest instalment of the hugely popular Football Manager franchise will be delayed until March next year.
This comes after the company had previously delayed the release in a development update in September, however, the team have now stated that this time has "not been efficient to ensure the game quality and experience meets your expectations and our very high standards".
The statement goes on to talk about how this years instalment is "the biggest technical and visual advancement in the series for a generation" which has led to the developer further delaying the title to ensure the best possible quality on release at this "crucial juncture in football manager history".
Fans will undoubtedly be disappointed as, despite the title, they have come to expect the sim release in the later half of the year before, much like its NBA, NHL and EAFC counterparts. Sports Interactive and Sega have acknowledge this disappointment, stating that they are "extremely sorry" while offering any pre orders the chance to refund the title at point of purchase.
