Bloober Team and Konami to work together again after success of Silent Hill 2 remake

Whether this will be a "new" IP or another remake has yet to be confirmed

Bloober team announce today that their partnership with Konami will continue due to the "trust built upon the success of Silent Hill 2". While the statement released by Bloober team stated this would be a "new project", whether or not this will be another remake or a brand new IP remains to be seen.

Bloober team emphasised the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake in their statement, quoting its review scores and stating that their ability to capture the "atmosphere and depth" of the original as reasons that Konami were so happy with their work. Blubber CEO Piotr Babieno had this to say:

"Our collaboration with KONAMI has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of SILENT HILL 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together. Of course, we can't reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can't wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right."

While the statement is vague in terms of what the future title could be, Konami is not short of IPs under its umbrella with franchises like: Silent Hill, Metal Gear Castlevania and many more. This gives Bloober a treasure trove of beloved IPs to remaster or even reboot to start anew.
